The test press' arrived into catapult today, cant explain what a buzz it was. Mainly having listen the these tracks from CRST and the Darkhouse family countless times as sound files on a computer, to finally hear them pressed up as god intended cant be explained. The mastering by the guys at Curved press is second to none, when the first kick drum lands hits on Stabwound and redeye - Wow!Had to update on facebook as soon as they arrived and got a response from Tony from CRST that he was heading in pronto to check it out on the shop system. Tony agreed - sounds brilliant. Im not sure that a producer gets the same kick from an MP3 launching as they do from seeing their labour on a piece of vinyl. From my point of view it's brilliant to be selling a record made by a long serving customer who's been at the counter of Catapult ever since he was barely tall enough to look over the top. What a legend, he still gets kicks out of vinyl.
