Here are a few releases we’re really excited about:

Home Taping favourite Nicholas returns with another heavy-duty vinyl release for the label. Warehouse style cuts dripping in atmosphere and dance floor edge are what this EP is all about. Sweaty, tracky, looped up, raw, and of course perfect for the dancefloor. It’s 100% house music. So play them all night long.

Title track It’s Too Late picks up where Don’t Get Me Wrong left off, melding a electronic freestyle jam which hints at a jazzed up version of UK bass with bouncing 808 kicks pinning down the bottom end and his Detroit influences squeezing their way into the fusion too. You Just Love You heavies up the vibe with a stomping slice of expertly crafted filter disco. A tried and tested formula of course, but in the hands of a master like Recloose, the result is a fresh, floor-filling anthem chock full of peaktime energy. Flipping over Matt treats us to some vintage Recloose-style business in the form of Backtrack. Bouncing beats, deep chords and vocal hits reminds us of the unique and brilliant music from his classic LP Cardiology.

HVNXX is one of the most special projects we’ve taken part in as a label. Some months ago The XX and Young Turks asked our artists to remix tracks from ‘Coexist’. It was a big honour and also a big responsi- bility, specially considering that The XX is one of our favourite bands. The outcome of such challenge is a four-track EP that showcases the sound of both well-established members of the Hivern family, such as Marc Pinol and New Jackson, and upcoming talents such as Round and Mistakes Are Ok.
Remember all of this releases and more are available in store at Catapult or through our online record store.
